U15s close out win against Welwyn
The opening partnership of Jacob Vincent and Oli Cambridge were hoping to get the team to a solid start, which was quickly thwarted when Jake played across the line to a straight ball and was bowled for 0. He was swiftly followed by Jake Garner, who was the wrong side of a dubious LBW decision. Reed found themselves on 12 for 2 from 3 overs. George Wood and Cambridge steadied the ship for a few overs, rotating the strike and punishing poor balls before George was caught for 10. Reed were on 37/3. Charlie Cannon went out and he and Cambridge decided to punish any wayward bowling, the pair putting on 31 runs until Cannon got caught for 8 runs in the 12th over, replaced by Dom Longland. Cambridge was run out in the next over, failing to slide his bat attempting a quick run... A quality 33 runs from 34 balls had brought Reed back into the match. Oli Tapsell came in, but fell in the following over on 8. Reed were 83 for 6 in the 14th. Charlie Browne went to the crease for the first time this season and didn't disappoint.
