Skipper Ernie Collings was in devastating form on Monday night. He scorched to 69 not out when batting at number 3 for Babraham, then tossed-up a mixture of deliveries whilst bowling and claimed 3 wickets for just 9 runs. Next highest scorer for the home side had been Palmer with 22, but R&C’s bowling figures were not good to look at once Babraham had closed on 147 for 4. Lewis Jordan (1 for 18) and Fergus Martin (1 for 10) had the most respectable returns.

Alec Eve batted well for his 28, but his innings was marred by being involved in two unnecessary run-outs when first Max Carlton (7) then Jason Pallett (13) were stranded yards from home. David Hill clocked-up a quick 20 and Ben Brown reached 10, to allow R&C to pass the hundred mark. After their 20 overs they closed on 111 for 7, thus losing by a margin of 36 runs.
