Notification of the Sixty-seventh Annual General Meeting of Reed Cricket Club to be held in the Howard Marshall Pavilion on Monday 27th November 2023 starting at 1930hrs. Proposals for Changes in the Rules of the Club’s Constitution to be submitted to Peter Wholley by midnight on Sunday 5th November 2023 either by email or in writing. Nominations for Committee Members, Team Captains and other Club Officials to be submitted to Peter Wholley by midnight on Sunday 12th November 2023 either by email or in writing. All proposals are to have a Seconder and the consent of the proposed candidate, (where appropriate). The Agenda and any proposals will follow in two weeks. Agenda for the Sixty-sixth Annual General Meeting of Reed Cricket Club to be in the Howard Marshall Pavilion on Tuesday 6th December 2022 starting at 1930hrs. 1. Opening address and to confirm the present incumbent, Andrew Emms, as Club President and Chairman of the AGM. 2. Attendance & Apologies. 3. Main items: a. Minutes. Approval of Minutes of the Sixty-fifth RCC AGM held on25th November 2021. b. Matters arising. c. To receive the Chairman’s Report. d. To receive the Annual Accounts – Main and Bar Statements. e. To consider amendments to the Club Constitution. In accordance with the SHMS, “Reed CC fully adopts the principles of the ECB Anti-Discrimination Code.” (Addition to Rule 10.) Only members over the age of 16 may vote. A majority of two-thirds of members present at the meeting in favour of changes is required. f. To consider and ratify or amend rates of Subscriptions & Match Fees. No change to last year’s rates is recommended. Only members over the age of 16 may vote. g. Minutes of the Sixty-fourth Annual General Meeting of Reed Cricket Club held virtually on Thursday 18th February 2021 starting at 2000hrs. 1. Opening address and to confirm the present incumbent, Andrew Emms, as Club President and Chairman of the AGM. According to the Club Constitution there being no alternative nomination received in the requisite time, ANDREW EMMS remained Club President. Andrew was pleased to be able to welcome members to this (so far) unique, virtual AGM. He was hopeful for a full season in 2021. A few basic “house rules” regarding virtual meeting protocol and how to pose questions were provided thanks to Julien Fynn who was “hosting” the meeting. 2. Attendance & Apologies. Notification of the Sixty-fifth Annual General Meeting of Reed Cricket Club to be held virtually on Thursday 25th November 2021 starting at 2000hrs. Being a virtual meeting and to enable a smooth and timely process, Club Members are requested to please take note of the following significant dates. Respond by midnight on Thursday 4th November 2021 with nominations and proposals. The Agenda, Accounts, Reports, proposals and joining details for the AGM will be circulated and published by 11th November 2021. You will then be asked to cast your votes and reply by midnight on Sunday 21st November 2021. There will be no voting during the AGM. Results of the balloting process will be announced at the AGM on Thursday 25th November 2021. Please note: 1. All proposals and nominations for officials must be in writing (paper or email) to reach the Minutes Secretary, 2. At all General Meetings of the Club each paid-up Member over the age of 16 years shall have one vote. 3. Non-Playing Members and Playing Members under 16 years of age may not vote on the election of the Team Captains, Vice-Captains and Playing Sub-Committee, (except for the Chairman of the AGM in the circumstances described below). 4. The Chairman of the particular General Meeting shall have a casting vote in the event of a tied vote even if that person, (usually the Club President at a General Meeting), is a Non-Playing Member. 5.
