Reed II maintaned their push for promotion with a comprehensive 8 wicket win against Graveley. Reed won the toss and put Graveley into bat on a damp wicket and had the visitors in trouble from the word go.

A smart catch from Ian Fulk removed opener Hare and that began the precession. Only Morris 13 and Griggs 28 offered any resistance as Jim Allsopp, 12 overs 3-32 and particularly Jason Archer 13.3 overs, 6-20 ran riot. Good catches by Alan Ward (2) and Ben Bowles (2) ensured Reed took maximum advantage of their opportunities. Jason Archer’s 6-20 was the best return of the season.

In reply Reed lost Paul Watts early and later Peter Baker for 20 with the then 26-2. However Gravelely made no further in roads as Ian Fulk 16 not out and Skipper John Heslam 29 not out steered Reed to a comfortable 8 wicket win which sees them well placed to secure a second consecutive promotion through the Hertfordshire Leagues.
