It was again Alec Eve and Max Carlton who contributed with the bat for R&C. Eve was out for 22 when the score was past 50, but skipper Carlton remained unbeaten on 54 when the innings closed on 94 for 1.

Helped by numerous wides, Royston soon caught-up. Shawn Jackson took a wicket near the end, but Royston ran-out easy winners in the 18th over with Achroyd on 15 n.o. and Judge on 14 n.o. The top-scorer had been Randi Thomas with a well-put together 44.

All rather disappointing for R&C after a bright start to the match.
