The Colts training is now in full swing. Well over 50 young cricketers come each week to be trained by our fully qualified coaches. Reed has a long tradition of bringing through our own homegrown talent and our 2012 Yorkshire Tea National Village Cup winning side was made up of 10 players who had come through the Colts ranks. Many of the coaches have also come through the Colts system. We encourage our coaches to take their qualifications so they can pass on their own knowledge with the most up to date methods. Coaching co-ordinator Tom Greaves has been called up to the Hertfordshire 20/20 squad. Along with fellow coach Jack Tidey, both will be representing Hertfordshire Stags this season.
