Another fantastic day at Lord’s Cricket Ground saw Tom Greaves lead Reed CC onto the Pavilion terrace to be presented with the Watson’s National Village Cup. Well done to everyone connected to the team – thank you for producing a second memorable victory for us to savour.

Thank you to the hundreds of supporters who travelled to London and vocalised their joy, to those who stayed in touch by social media providing encouragement to the players, and those who followed the fluctuations of the match by radio commentary. Thank you too to our numerous advertisers and sponsors who have contributed to Reed CC’s progress and development over the years.

Reed CC thanks Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) for hosting the event at the famous Lord’s Cricket Ground; the NVC organisers, The Cricketer magazine, (www.thecricketer.com); the competition’s sponsors, Watson’s Dairy Products, Gunn & Moore, BOLA Bowling machines, Extra Cover Insurance, Owzat Cricket Products, Greene King, International Cricket Tours and Pipers Crisp Company. Additional thanks go to all the staff of these organisations who make the day so memorably special for players and supporters alike.

We are grateful to Derek Brewer, Chief Executive & Secretary of MCC, Matthew Fleming, MCC President, Simon Hughes, Editor of The Cricketer, and former England player, Alex Tudor, for their time and kind words during the presentation ceremony and post-match Gala Dinner.

The Cup, adorned with RCC’s coloured ribbons, will soon be on display at Reed and we hope to see you soon once we have organised a suitable celebration event. The date and details will be published in the calendar when known.

Got to the section “Latest News” – Wait until the photograph of Reed CC comes through then click on it. This takes you to a Match Report. At the bottom of that page you can click on “Match Scorecard” then you can see the Scorebook entries, ball-by-ball, run-by-run, dot-by-dot. This can be printed-off if you wish (4 pages of A4.)

This is a downloadable podcast of the commentary and can be also streamed online. There are more than 5 hours of ball-by-ball commentary. This is possibly only available for a few days so you may wish to download it promptly.

We have been sent approximately 34 minutes of footage that SKY filmed. This is available only until the 26th September so if you want to save it on a disc or stick, I advise you do not delay. When I downloaded it, it took about 20 minutes so be patient!

Thank you everyone.
