Reed enjoyed a welcome victory that lifted them out of the relegation zone as they comfortably saw off bottom club Rickmansworth II by 6 wickets. The man who made the major contribution was veteran Richard Robertson.

At 39-1 Rickmansworth looked set for a healthy score but Robertson soon changed that. With a deadly display of seam and swing bowling Robertson tore through the Rickmansworth line up and secured fine figures of 12.2 overs 5 maidens 8 for 19 as the visitors slumped to 98 all out.

Reed appeared to be cruising at 58-1 but then another middle order collapse saw them slide to 62-5. Robertson then took over with the bat where he had left off with the ball and in company with Peter Baker (29*), Robertson stayed firm for 16 not out to see Reed home for a vital win.
