Peter Lawrence, RIP. FUNERAL DETAILS & CHARITY DONATIONS

It is with great sadness we have to inform you that one of Reed Cricket Club’s founder members, Peter Lawrence, passed away on Saturday evening. Peter was a Life Member, Trustee and continuously a great supporter Reed Cricket Club throughout his life, as a player, volunteer and in the latter years as a spectator. Our condolences to his daughter, Claire and her family and Hazel. There is solace that he died at home in his beloved Reed, after having enjoyed dinner with some of his friends around him. Details of Peter's Funeral: Thursday 5th January 2023. 1100hrs at St Mary's Church, Reed. Afterwards at The Cricket Club and The Village Hall. Family flowers only please. Funeral Arrangements – Jason Pallett, 23/12/1988 to 23/12/2018

To All Members and Supporters of Reed CC, here are the arrangements for Jason’s funeral that I have received from Anne and Kevin. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just a quick update on the arrangements for Jason’s funeral service. The funeral will take place on Thursday 17th January at 2.15 pm. It will be at the West Crematorium, at Cambridge. Family flowers only please. Donations will be accepted on the day which will go to one of our local youth football teams. Please feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in, in whatever colours. Millwall football shirts are also acceptable. There will be a celebration for Jason afterwards at The British Legion, Royston, where we can lift a glass and share our memories of him together. Many thanks on behalf of Jason's family and ourselves. Thank you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- At Reed Cricket Club, members have been shocked and saddened on hearing the news reports that Jason Pallett died of injuries in tragic circumstances on Sunday. Reports state that Jason was walking alongside the A10 at Melbourn at about 0530hrs on Sunday morning when he was struck by a van; he died at the scene. It was his 30th Birthday. Jason was brought up in Reed and was one of our Colts. He had the ability to spin the ball both ways and he became a regular player in the senior teams at weekends in his teen-aged years. Funeral details; Peter Wilson

Peter's Funeral will be at St. Mary's Church, Guilden Morden at 1430hrs on Friday 3rd November followed by refreshments at The Hardwick Arms, Arrington. ************************************* I have learned the sad news today that Peter Wilson died on Tuesday. Peter was involved with Reed's Colts for several years in the late 1990s to the early 2000s when his three sons, Graham, Rob and James, were Colts in the Under 11s and Under 13s. He subsequently became a Vice-President of the Club. Please join me in sending condolences to Moira and her family. I shall publicise funeral details when I know them. Peter G.
