Old Camdenians were in total command of this game from ball 1 when
Curtis was bowled for 0. Reed had no answers to the bowling of Ashed
who took 5-34 in 16 overs. Only Mark Peart game to terms with the
bowling scoring 23. In fact he was the only Reed player to get into
double figures. Reed weren’t helped by a groin injury to Simon
Roberts who had to retire hurt. Reed lost 6 wickets for just 11 runs
and were 63 all out.
Old Camdenians easily got the 64 runs they needed in just 12
overs. Peter Tidey took a wicket so Reed weren’t left pointless, with
the help of a good Phil Divers catch. In the end it was a game that
Reed should quickly forget.
