Hatfield bought Reed in to bat while the sun was out in the latest round of league games. Reed took advantage of a good track and put on 48 for the first wicket before Curtis was bowled for 28. Reed were soon 60-2, but with the in form Mark Peart and Jamie Warren at the crease, Reed looked comfortable. Then came the first break for rain. Peart was unlucky to be given out LBW for 16. Then came a second break for rain. When they went back out Warren tried to step up the run rate, but was bowled for a fine 33. Simon Roberts went the same way for 11 and then came the final down pour and the game was abandoned with Reed on 125-5. Both teams picked up 10 points.
