Availabilities for the first weeks of the season

The final two indoor net sessions at Freman College Sport Hall will be held on Wednesday 5th and Wednesday 12th April between 2000hrs and 2200hrs. Your last chance to feel bat on ball before the season begins! After that, the first match of the season will be on Sunday 23rd April. It is deemed a 1st XI match away at Preston although in previous years it has been a mixture of players from all our teams. The following Saturday, 29th April, the 1st XI play their Herts County 20/20 Pool matches at Hertford. First off, Reed will play Langleybury, then Hertford will be against Letchworth. The winners of those matches then play each other to progress to the competition’s semi-finals later in the year. Also on Saturday the 29th, there will be a “Fourth XI” friendly away at Mayfield in Winchmore Hill. Sunday the 30th will see the 1st XI entertain Datchworth in the National Village Cup at Reed. On the same day, the Sunday XI will be down on the meads playing against Hare Street & Hormead in a friendly. Meanwhile, the Herts League programme begins on Saturday 6th May. All four XIs have matches scheduled and these are followed on Sunday the 7th May with another friendly at Reed versus Woodcutters. All the fixtures are listed in the Events Calendar. Winter Nets – Open to all adult players

The Freman College Sports Hall has been booked for a series of practice / net sessions on Wednesday evenings from 11th January to 12th April 2017 (inclusive), 2000hrs to 2200hrs. Potential new players will be welcome irrespective of standard. There will be a charge of £5 per person per week - please ensure you bring the correct money with you. Note: These Wednesday sessions will be for Junior (Over 15) and Adult players. Practices for All Age-Groups of Colts, (i.e. up to Under 15), will be on every Saturday morning commencing on 7th January between 1000hrs and 1100hrs. See separate News Item for details. Winter Nets – Open to all-comers

For the remaining 5 sessions as we approach the new season, these practice sessions have been opened-up and all members and potential new players will be welcome irrespective of which standard / Team they normally play in. Contacts are Tom Greaves 07787 243915 and Marcus Martin 07956 021016. =============================================================================== With the New Year just beginning, and the Second Test Match between South Africa and England about to start in a sunny Cape Town , our thoughts turn towards the 2016 domestic cricket season only 16 weeks away. To prepare, practice sessions commence this week. The First Team Squad are scheduled for Wednesday 6th January between 2000hrs and 2130hrs, then every fortnight thereafter until April. The remaining Adult players' sessions will be every fortnight starting on Wednesday the 13th January, also from 2000hrs to 2130hrs. Practices for All Age-Groups of Colts will be on every Saturday morning commencing on 9th January between 1000hrs and 1100hrs. Adult Winter Nets

Adult winter nets will start on Wednesday the 14th of January. These nets are open to all adult club members from 15 years+ (as at 1st Sept. 2014)and will be held at Freman College in Buntingford in their new sports hall from 8- 9.30pm. These nets will be £4 per session per person. Club nets will be held on a fortnightly basis and will run through to April. If there are any issues please contact Marcus Martin 2nd XI Captain. First team nets sessions will start on Wednesday the 21st and will run fortnightly from 8 till 9.30pm. James Heslam will be in contact with the first team squad to discuss participation numbers.
