FROM CILLA ROBERTSON, MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY, REED CRICKET CLUB.

THANK YOU TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ALREADY PAID & COMPLETED THEIR REGISTRATION FORM.

After a most unusual season in 2020, when cricket was only allowed to be played from July 2020 it is now time to look forward to a ‘new beginning’.

The cricket season is fast approaching and applications for Club membership and the payment of Annual Subscriptions are due. Please take the time to complete the application form, so the club database is updated. In order to ensure that all interested parties are kept up to date with club information, it is important that your Membership form is completed and returned to me either by post, on-line form,
or e-mail (cilla@richardandcilla.co.uk).

The on-line Form is on this Homepage – go to the Members Area and choose the Adult Membership Form.

At the 2020 AGM (held via Zoom in February 2021) the membership rates were agreed as follows:

Adult Playing Members: £115
(Reduced to £95 if paid before 1st May.)

Junior Playing Members, (aged 15 and above on 1st Sept 2020 AND in full-time education): £35
(Reduced to £25 if paid before 1st May.)

Youth Members: £50
(Refer to the Youth Membership Form in the Members Area.)

Non-Playing Members and Vice-Presidents: £25
(to include a £10.00 Bar voucher – those who were unable to use their voucher from last year due to restrictions will have theirs extended.)

Please remember that being a paid up member of Reed Cricket Club means that you are covered by the club’s public liability insurance when taking part in anything in the name of Reed Cricket Club. You are also supporting the club and helping to maintain the facilities which have all stemmed from membership support.

If paying on-line the details are: Reed Cricket Club. A/C No. 00740153; Sort Code 30-97-16 Reference: Membership

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requires the way data is collected and stored. It does require that ALL members complete & return the registration form annually to keep their membership status. The policy for this can be read in the Members Area:

In the event of a medical or child safeguarding issue arising, the club may disclose certain information to doctors or other medical specialists and/or to police, children’s social care, the courts and/or probation officers and, potentially, to legal and other advisers involved in an investigation this form.

The easyfundraising section of the Reed Club website, organised by Michael Curtis, generates income for the club – please take the time to look at these ‘Ads’ and if you ‘shop’ on-line go in through the link from this Website to download the easyfundraising Toolbar or App. You will not pay extra on your goods but the club receives a percentage of the amount spent.

If you order heating oil consider using the Boiler Juice app and name Reed Cricket Club as your local community centre. Boiler Juice then donate a % to the cricket club.

Our monthly 100 CLUB Lottery is another valuable source of income for the Club and new members are always welcome. Please contact Bethan Smith, 07880 702064 for further information.

The on-line shop for all cricket clothing is now live, which is supplied by Tylers’ Sportswear

or click on the heading Club Shop on this Homepage.

Our Club has also adopted the ECB’s Policy of “Safe Hands”. Anyone involved in captaining, coaching, managing, umpiring or scoring and those playing in teams involving any children under 18 must be DBS vetted through the ECB. If you do not have a DBS disclosure and need one please contact the Safeguarding Officer, Hannah Heslam, hannahheslam@gmail.com or me, cilla@richardandcilla.co.uk
The application is done on-line.

All members should take to time to read the Code of Conduct which is also in the Policy Documents in the Members Area of this Website and in the Fixtures Booklet.

Please make sure that your FULLY completed membership forms are returned to me as soon as possible, even if paying by Direct Debit. League matches start at the beginning of May and only PAID UP members will qualify for selection.
