Reed gave a rather poor account for themselves with the bat when they succumbed to Roydon. Chasing 226 Reed failed to show any of the potential and ability they all have.

Earlier the visiting Roydon played a steady innings with major contributions from Gooch (49), Sanderson (58) and Hitch (50*). Zak Conley (2 for 37) and Graeme Stuart (3 for 52) took the major wickets supported by Joe Graves (1 for 49) and Freddy Stuart (1 for 15). Also Owen Hughes, despite wicket-less, bowled a superb line and length and proved hard to get away. Catches were taken by Hughes, Graves, Craig Brown and Lloyd Bowman. Meanwhile Ben Moody did a superb job behind the stumps.

After tea, a steady procession of wickets led up to Reed being bowled all out for just 82. Marcus J.E. Baker (18), Bowman (22), Hughes (16) and Graves (10) making contributions.
