Reed under 11’s continued their unbeaten run to 5 matches and currently sit top of the table following their comfortable win against Linton. On a cold Monday evening, Reed lost the toss but were asked to bat first and made steady progress throughout the innings. Linton’s bowling being quite wayward enabled the extras to stack up without much risk of a wicket being taken. Good calling and running between the wickets enabled Reed to reach 244 before two quick wickets fell. A blistering final 3 overs from captain Connor Poulton (22) accelerated the score to 262-4 off 15 overs at the end of the innings.

In reply Linton started well and were up with the run rate at the half way stage but tight bowling from Benji Wrigley (3-0-0-3), Owen Hughes (0-2) and Edward Kershaw (1-4) quickly turned the game in Reed’s favour. Poulton (4-7) again showing his class taking 3 wickets in 4 balls at the end. Linton finished on 223 for 6
