Reed made an excellent come back against 1st division Wormley.
Despite welcoming back Andrew Emms to the opening attack, Wormley
made an excellent start. They put on 106 for the first wicket before
Robert Dunn made the break through. The introduction of Dunn and
Duncan Price slowed the run rate and wicket began to fall. Wormley
tumbled from 109-1 in the 27th over to 169-8 in the 47th. Both Dunn
and Price picked up 4 wickets a piece conceding 43 and 29 runs
respectively.

In reply Reed lost the early wicket of Henry Tufton when he
slipped and was run out. Reed were 28-1. Reed’s reply was built
around 62 from Mark Peart. Chris Haywood put on 36 with Peart before
Haywood was out for 19. Only skipper Simon Roberts got into double
figures after that. He made a patient 25, but when he went Reed’s
chances of victory were dashed. It was left to Robert Dunn and Louis
Gearing to see Reed to the draw.
