Reed were put into bat and lost a wicket first ball when Curtis
was bowled. It never really got much better for the rest of the
afternoon. Only Paul Watts with a stubborn 42, James Bradford with 20
and Peter Costen with 29 reached double figures. Reed were 52-4 and
in trouble, but it got worse when they were 56-7. Costen with some
aggressive hitting put on 24 with Watts before Watts went for his
highest score for Reed so far. He had scored 42 out of Reed’s 90.
Reed lost their last 3 wickets for just 17 and were 107 all out.

Peter Tidey gave Hatfield Hyde a scare when he had Miltar caught
behind for a duck. Robert Dunn then took 2 wickets in the space of 4
runs and Hatfield Hyde were 39-3, but that was the last wickets Reed
were to get and they ended up losing by 7 wickets.
