Reed 3rd XI were narrowly defeated in a game played in difficult conditions at Edmonton.

Reed batted first and were soon in trouble to the swing bowling of Javed. Peter Baker (20) and Fergus Martin (35no) were the only batsmen to play with any fluency as Reed limped to a total of 107. The highlight of Reeds innings was an all run four inolving Niel Haslam and Fergus Martin during a stand of 28 for the last wicket. Salim bowled unchanged through the innings and ended with the good figures of 20-7-35-5.

In reply the Exiles started cautiously and found runs hard to score with Niel Haslam bowling well from one end and good support from Keeren Ward, Marcus Baker and Fergus Martin at the other Reed looked in with a chance. The fielding which had started off very well began to suffer and four catches were put down which allowed Salim to guide his team to a three wicket victory in the 38th over.
