The Saracens Hertfordshire Premier Cricket League, (SHPCL), require players, officials, members and supporters of Reed Cricket Club to be reminded of the following Rule: “Players and club officials shall not make any public or media comment which is detrimental to the League, clubs, umpires or the game in general. In this instance, media shall include press, radio,television, external websites, club websites, social networking sites and club match programmes.” Importantly this rule applies equally off the field as well as on-field during matches. Significantly, a proven breach of the SHPCL rules attracts penalties to individuals and Clubs that include: suspension, expulsion, fines, points deductions, automatic relegation and warnings to future behaviour.
