CONSTITUTION OF REED CRICKET CLUB The Rules and Club Constitution are as follows. 1. The name of the Club is Reed Cricket Club. 2. The objects of the club are the provision of opportunities for recreation, social intercourse, and refreshment for the benefit of members, and the provision and maintenance of a Club House at the Reed Village Green, Reed, Near Royston, Herts. 3. The Club will ensure a duty of care to all members of the club by adopting and implementing the ‘ECB SAFE HANDS – WELFARE OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN CRICKET’ policy, and any future versions of the policy. 4. To comply with the requirement of it’s Clubmark status obligations, the Club shall adopt and implement the ECB Club Inclusion and Diversity Policy and any future versions of this policy. Similarly, to comply with the requirement of it’s Clubmark status obligations, the Club shall adopt and implement the ECB Equity Policy and any future versions of this policy. 5. Every candidate for membership shall be proposed and seconded by Members of the Club. His or her full name and address and occupation and the name of the proposer and the seconder shall be communicated in writing to the Honorary Secretary, who shall cause these particulars to be exhibited prominently in the Club House in a part frequented by Members for a period of at least two days before his or her election as a Member. Until the candidate is elected as a Member he shall not be entitled to any of the privileges of the Club. 6.
