Weston Colville won the toss and put Reed into bat. It was a very sunny evening with a quick outfield. Openers Josh Poulton and Cemal Ramadan put on a sterling partnership of 109 when Ramadan was caught out on 46 in the 14th over. Hugh Wrigley took up the reins and with just six overs to go put on 12 runs before being bowled in the 19th over. With just 8 balls to go and 150 runs Reed were looking to push the total. Reed lost one more wicket to finish on 157/3 Josh Poulton carrying his bat for 63 runs. With a good score Reed could not be complacent on this high scoring ground. They needed early wickets which came from Connor Poulton (4-0-18-1) in the 2nd over caught by Hugh Wrigley. Weston then settled with a partnership of 41 before Rhodri Hughes (4-0-33-1) came on in the 7th over to bowl Freddy Gurney for 17 runs. The best of Westons batting came from Edward Fairey (23), but this was cut short by a run out to Reece Fitzgerald in the 10th over. With two more run outs to Rhodri Hughes and Connor Poulton Westons run rate was dropping fast. Jack Caine (3-0-15-0) and Joe Graves (2-0-11-0) contributed good spells at the end of the innings when Weston were looking to hit out. Opening bowler Fitzgerald (4-0-18-2) came back on to take further 2 consecutive wickets in his final over. Weston finally falling short by 29 runs.

With 10 men and 3 drafted in from U11's Reed were not at their strongest. They lost the toss and had to field first. Whittlesford got a slow but substantial start, openers Sam Woods and Tom Cressy putting on 86, Cressy put on 14 runs in the 15th over but fell in the next to a caught and bowled off Connor Poulton. Ian Curtis had a great game keeping against pacey bowling and took a catch in the 18th over. Woods stuck at it but was bowled in the 20th with a score of 45. Whittlesford finishing on 116 for 4. Good fielding contributions were appreciated by Zac Conley and Owen Hughes from the U11's, best of the bowling came from Connor Poulton 3-0-8-3, Reece Fitzgerald 4-0-17-1, Rhodri Hughes 3-0-12-0. In reply Josh Poulton(C) and Rhodri Hughs opened. They made a good start and by the 10th over had 73 runs on the board, well above the run rate. Reed went onto the 15th over and 105 runs before Hughes(15) lost his wicket to a catch to Oliver Fountain off of Dan Collinson's bowling. With only 12 runs required Reed lost another quick wicket. Reece Fitzgerald (2 no) came in no 4 to finish off the innings with Josh Poulton who carried his bat for 86 (inc 16 4's). Reed's final score 118 for 2 of 16.1 overs.

Reed won the toss and chose to bat. They got off to a steady start and runs were coming easily to the opening batsman Captain Josh Poulton and Rhodri Hughes (12), with a quick outfield Reed were getting boundaries. Sawston finally made inroads in the 14th over when the Reed Captain was caught at mid on by John Curran but not before he had made 53 runs from 45 balls. Two more quick wickets fell, John Curran showing the best of Sawston's bowling 4-0-13-3. Reed were still short of a decent total to bowl at but cameo performances from Jesse Chappell 11 from 6 balls and Reece Fitzgerald 13 not out finally left Reed with a total of 118 for 5. Reece Fitzgerald opened the bowling for Reed, economy was the word for the first few overs keeping Sawston below the run rate. Reece finishing his spell 4-0-13-1. After the wicket of the S Ankers fell it was up to S Baig(30) to pick up the run rate for Sawston. This he did with help from wides scoring highly off the Reed bowlers. Baig kept the pressure on but to no avail loosing his wicket when the Reed Captain got a direct hit on the stumps to run him out. Sawston were definitely up with the run rate J Curran and A Stern both getting into double figures, but then falling foul of the safe hands of the Reed fielders. More wickets fell for little runs, the best of the fielding coming from Sam Rice and Tudor Holt preventing significant boundaries and catches from Jesse Chappell (2), Jack Caine (2) Rhodri Hughes (1) and another direct hit for a final run out on the last [...]

Saffron Walden won the toss and chose to bat. It was a poor wicket and the ball was keeping low. It was a hard wicket to bat on but lent itself to the bowlers. Reed took advantage of this and by the 4th over 3 wickets had fallen to the opening bowlers Dan Howard 4-0-26-2 and Connor Poulton 3-1-11-2. The following batsman could not get a start and by the 14th over Walden were 41 for 9. Wickets falling to Reece Fitzgerald 4-0-7-1, Rhodri Hughes 2-0-2-2 and Shai Cookson-Swan 3-0-6-1. Catches went to Fitzgerald, Hughes and Cookson-Swan, 2 run outs to Connor Poulton and a stumping to Ian Curtis. Walden's final partnership put on 31 runs and they batted out the last 6 overs for a final total of 72. Walden's top scorer Sean Colliety 11 no. Reed went into bat but were cautious of the predictably low keeping wicket. The opening batsman made a start but Fitzgerald was caught in the 4th over with a score of 2. Connor Poulton then took up the reins with Rhodri Hughes, a partnership of 55 took them up to the 11th over when Hughes fell to a cruel run. Poulton hit the ball straight back to Hughes' stumps, backing up well out of his crease, the bowler got a hand to the ball and Hughes was gone for 7. Poulton had been hitting regular boundaries and Reed only needed 3 runs to win when Jack Caine came in to bat. Saffron Walden's Charlie Passfield then bowled a maiden over. After loosing narrowly to Royston in the first cup game last season Reed were looking to redress the balance. After winning the toss and electing to bat on a good wicket Reed made a good start with openers J Poulton (cpt) and R Hughes putting on 49 runs. With a run out and the captain retiring on 32 the next order batsman also put in good contributions including I Curtis 14. Two more wickets went down to E Goldman and J Norcross respectively,but with extras contributing highly Reed finished on 115 for 3. Reed started well in the field taking 4 wickets in the first 7 overs, 1 run out and debut opening bowler 11 year old C Poulton taking 3 wickets for 18 runs. Royston started to pull back with an excellent middle order bat of 31 from L George. With no more wickets falling Reed managed to keep the runs down with good bowling performances from R Hughes 3 overs for 9 runs, and D Howard 3 overs for 7 runs. Reed finally taking the game by 17 runs.

This was a must win game for Reed to ensure they took the League title. Linton won the toss and with rain in the air they put Reed into bat. With a recent century under his belt, Josh Poulton was on form and opened the batting with Cemal Ramadan. With a short boundary on the pavilion side there was always runs to be had at the Linton Ground. Steady runs came from the first few overs. 17 runs off the 4th over but then Cemal Ramadan fell in the 5th for 14 bowled by Connor Campbell. Hugh Wrigley took up the crease and made a 76 partnership with his Captain, a short break for rain then Wrigley's reign came to an end caught by Burleigh in the 13th over with a score of 31. A quick 4th wicket fell for no score in the following over. Next in Reece Fitzgerald took the score to 136 when he was bowled for 11 by Noah Wright with 3 overs to go. Jesse Chappell went in and held the end up well while between them 45 runs came off the last 3 overs 2 of these to Chappell, the last ball of the innings, a 4 took Josh to his second century of the season 101 not out. Final score of 181 for 4. Best of the bowling for Linton was Noah Wright 2-0-16-2. In reply Linton's openers scored well off the first over taking 12 runs off the opening bowler. Reed U13 124-4 v Knebworth Park U13 51-10. Reed won the toss and elected to bat first on an initially sunny evening. Josh Poulton (26) and Rhodri Hughes (23) made a solid start with an opening partnership of 45. Hugh Wrigley made a quick-fire 33 (retired) and Ian Curtis 10. The sun had long since departed so Knebworth Park began their inning in chill, overcast conditions. Disciplined bowling and good fielding restricted their total to 51 all out from 14.5 overs, with Hugh Wrigley taking three catches. Daniel Howard (3-1-13-2) and Connor Poulton (3-1-9-2) both bowled double wicket maidens. Freddy Stuart (2-0-4-2) and Joe Graves (1.5-0-6-2) each took two wickets in their first overs of the season. Rhodri Hughes (3-1-8-1) and Shai Cookson-Swan (2-0-10-1) picked up a wicket apiece. One wide and one bye were the only extras.

On a cloudy Sunday morning Reed won the toss and put Ickelford into bat. The top order batsman just could not get the Reed bowlers away and lost their first two wickets to Joe Graves who finished on figures of 4-0-16-2. The next 3 wickets fell to Rhodri Hughes 4-0-12-3 and by the 11th over Ickleford were 5 down with only 43 on the board. The middle and lower order batsman never looked like troubling the bowlers and Ickleford were bowled out by the 17 over for 67. Catches were spread across the fielders 2 to Hugh Wrigley, Joe Graves and Freddy Stuart took catches off their bowling, Reece Adams and Cemal Ramadan also showing safe hands. Freddy Stuart 4-0-19-3 and Cemal Ramadan 2-0-7-2 rounded off a super bowling performance for Reed. For Ickleford C Jupp was the only batsman to reach double figures. Reed's reply was quick, the top 3 batsman knocked off the total in 8 overs. Josh Poulton and Hugh Wrigley 23 and 24 not out respectively and Cemal Ramadan 9, extras scoring 12.

Reed lost the toss and were put into bat. Josh Poulton and Cemal Ramadan got the side off to a good start, Ramadan loosing his wicket in the 4th over with 12 runs to his name. With Josh Poulton having to retire in the 11th over with a score of 33 and the next 4 wickets falling for only 11 runs Reed were looking frail. Tom Baker took 2 wickets and Scott Bishop came on 3rd change and began with a wicket maiden. Haverhill had pulled back the run rate and Reed needed a decent partnership to bring them back on track. This came in the form of Ian Curtis(7no) and Connor Poulton(25no) who put on 38 in the last 7 overs to post a final score of 118. The Haverhill openers Sam Street and Josh Ruthven were excellent in reply, keeping well up with the 6 per over run rate, they looked comfortable. Reed bowlers were frustrated with the first wicket of Street(8) not falling until the 11th over off Rhodri Hughes. Ruthven had to retire just after on 31 but Haverhill still had more batting to come. Will Bailey(22) stayed well and pushed 4 boundaries off the bowlers. Reed still had more to do. Unfortunately for Haverhill Bailey's partners could not contribute as much and the run rate slowed. The significant wicket of Bailey fell in the 17th over and Haverhill could not come back in the final overs. Reed scraped through with an 11 run victory.

Reed won the toss and chose to field. It was cloudy and rain was in the air. With Cambridge Granta being top of the Premiership Reed knew they were up against it. However, Grantas opening batsman did not get the ball away scoring slowly and losing a wicket in the 6th over to Connor Poulton (4-1-30-1). By the 7th Granta were only scoring at 4 an over. A couple of expensive overs then saw Granta pick up the run rate. 2 more wickets fell, 1 to Josh Poulton and a stumping by Ian Curtis off of the bowling of Rhodri Hughes. Excellent fielding all round kept Granta to 118 for 3 after 20 overs. Granta's top scorers being Robert Marmion 24 and Tom Cox 31 no. Going into bat Reed new they were in with a chance, at a run rate of 6 per over and with the rain setting in the pressure was on the fielding side. By the 7th over Reed were above the run rate by 8 runs but two wickets down. Josh Poulton had to retire with a score of 33 and it was up to the middle order to keep the run rate up. Two quick wickets fell in the 9th and 10th over and the run rate slowed. Jack Caine put in a sterling performance of 20 no, undaunted the Reed batsmen never gave up but fell short by 26runs. The winning side having to work hard for their win.
