The Hertfordshire Premier Cricket League, (SHPCL), has published changes to their Constitution and special Match Rules regarding the delayed start of the competitive league season with effect from next Saturday, 18th July. These changes are relevant to all participants in matches, (players, umpires, scorers), plus Club officials, spectators and supporters.
These are accessible at www.hertsleague.co.uk
The ECB emphasised that cricket is in the privileged position of being allowed to begin playing matches when other sports are still prohibited. It is not a right and we cricketers must not abuse the privilege – I am therefore requesting you to read, understand and comply to the rules. Hopefully that way, we will all be able to enjoy the remainder of the season.
Thank you and all the best for a fruitful season.
