On a cloudy Sunday morning Reed won the toss and put Ickelford into bat. The top order batsman just could not get the Reed bowlers away and lost their first two wickets to Joe Graves who finished on figures of 4-0-16-2. The next 3 wickets fell to Rhodri Hughes 4-0-12-3 and by the 11th over Ickleford were 5 down with only 43 on the board. The middle and lower order batsman never looked like troubling the bowlers and Ickleford were bowled out by the 17 over for 67. Catches were spread across the fielders 2 to Hugh Wrigley, Joe Graves and Freddy Stuart took catches off their bowling, Reece Adams and Cemal Ramadan also showing safe hands. Freddy Stuart 4-0-19-3 and Cemal Ramadan 2-0-7-2 rounded off a super bowling performance for Reed. For Ickleford C Jupp was the only batsman to reach double figures.

Reed’s reply was quick, the top 3 batsman knocked off the total in 8 overs. Josh Poulton and Hugh Wrigley 23 and 24 not out respectively and Cemal Ramadan 9, extras scoring 12.
