Reed lost the toss and were inserted on a difficult wet pitch in this Sunday 40 over friendly game and struggled against accurate seam bowling from Hansen and Hunter, taking 10 overs to reach 23 without loss. When they tried to increade the scoring rate, wickets tumbled and they lost 6 wickets for 33 runs, until Richard Robertson and Mike Green put on 48 runs for the 6th wicket giving the Reed score some respectability. However Reed were bowled out for 113 with five balls left of the alloted 40 overs.

In reply, the Great Chishill innings was dominated by a superb knock of 68 from Angus Gent who hit the ball to all parts of the ground and ensured a win for Great Chishill by 6 wickets.
