Aston batted first in this Sunday friendly game and scored steadily, until they opened up and scored 50 off the final three overs taking them to 193-6.

Reed got off to a poor start with Conrad Wellstead caught behind for a duck. However, Paul Watts was joined by Ed Blissett and they put on 101 in 25 overs. Reed were still well behind the run rate, with eleven overs to go. Richard Robertson and Richard Barlow came together needing 92 for victory. Where they were seperated nine overs later they had put on 89 runs and Reed needed three to win.

Increadibly Reed contrieved to lose six wickets for two runs until Clive Collins settled the matter with one ball to go, leaving Reed the victors by one wicket!
